Life's a beach

Despite our collective upper respiratory misery, we finally made it to the beach, in all its glory. And oh, was it glorious! Ellie and I walked along the shore, chasing "tweet tweets" and looking for shells.Will and Daddy built a few sand castles. Still, they haven't mastered Hurricane Ellie-proof construction quite yet.
Can you even stand our little surfer girl?
The kids made fast friends with a bubbly little girl named Lucia (pronounced Lou-chee-a, for accuracy). Judging by her hair, she's no stranger to the sand and sun! Will got busy trying to impress her with his digging skills.
For Will, it's all about the digging. As usual, he's happy to pass along his mastery of the trade to his little sister.
