Full-contact chess

An Oberweis Dairy store just happened to be down the street from the hair salon -- and no, that wasn't my only criteria for choosing it! -- so we stopped for a pre-lunch treat.
Will challenged me to a game of chess. His rules, of course, which involved knocking all my pieces over and surrounding them with thugs of his own. I *think* he won.
Ellie, always the animal lover, did her best to nurse my knight back to health with ice cream and a pep talk.
