Haulin' house!

Grandpa took Will to experience the action from one of his favorite shows -- just a few blocks away from home! -- as the historic Blodgett House moved to the Downers Grove Historical Society's "campus."
Look at it go! Or, rather... look at it stuck! With mere inches clearance (between trees), the move is slow going.
Will assesses the situation. Luckily, it doesn't require his climbing under the house!
This isn't Blodgett House's first move; it was built on Maple Avenue in 1846, and served as a stop on the Underground Railroad. The house is now moving from Randall Street (the south end of the Blodgetts' original property), back to Maple Avenue, where it will be placed on these footings. The house will eventually become a museum.
