Who needs a field trip?
Torrential rain may have canceled Will's class field trip to Blackberry Farm, but an impromptu visit to the DuPage Children's Museum with friends made our day. The kids experimented at myriad exhibits:
White lights and shadows.
Colored lights and shadows.
Black lights and a life-sized Lite Brite.
A boatload of fun with air hoses and pinwheels (from back to front: Branden, Will, Ashton, Steven, Elle and Savannah).
A wind tunnel, made twice as fun with goggles.
Ramps and balls (Elle still looking windblown from the wind tunnel).
Mirrors and multiples (EEKs!).
And a life-skill Daddy has practiced all too often.
The visit had its ups and downs (couldn't resist), but Branden (with his mom), Savannah, Ashton, Will, Steven and Ellie -- and even baby Shawn, who was such a sport! -- enjoyed the morning.
