Do you know how hard it is to include small people and a big statue in the same photo? (Kudos to Andy, who took the pic, basically lying down.)
Watching a barge full of old subway cars -- complete with an excavator -- on their way to be dumped off the coast of Maryland (?!).
If we look slightly wilted, blame it on the intense heat. But we still enjoyed the fabulous view of the Manhattan skyline from Ellis Island, where some of my great-grandparents arrived in America. Intense, indeed.
