What's the Fourth without a parade?

Hold your ears! DG's Fourth of July parade pulled out all the stops. Okay, maybe not *all*, but fire trucks (especially the cool Clarendon Hills engine that drives sideways), high school bands (including our alma mater), bagpipes (and drums) and candy (much better than our congresswoman's sponges -- what's up with that?) are all we need to go home happy.
Uncle Dave, Mommy, Elle, Will, Omi and Daddy enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon on Main Street. After dinner with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Valerie, Will and Daddy headed out to see fireworks with Omi and Uncle Dave. Will wanted the fireworks to go on forever, but luckily they didn't; he was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. :)
