Andy and I later helped Will and Elle bring their jack o' lanterns to life. But we haven't taken pics yet, so you'll have to stay tuned!

Gushy guts
Pumpkin carving and scooping began this morning for two very eager kids. As excited as Will and Ellie were to create their jack o' lanterns, neither of them were thrilled with the prospect of actually touching the innards.
A valiant effort from Elle as she attempted to help. She would've stretched from the next room if she could have!
Will decided to tackle his job with rubber gloves. "You seriously expect me to put my hands in there?"

Yuck! I kept reassuring Will that the pumpkin couldn't leach through his gloves, but he wasn't buying it. He tried to convince Ellie to take over before he called it quits.
Encouraging Will to challenge his comfort zone, I offered him a dollar to put his hands in a bowl of pumpkin seeds. He took a while before taking me up on it, but money talks. ;)
