Happy birthday to Mom

Once a year, it's (more or less) all about Mom. My birthday is October 8. It's easy to remember if you think of the prefix "oct" (the eighth day of the formerly-eighth month). But I think only Pete has caught on. ;)
My birthday fiesta began with margaritas and guacamole -- who could argue? Maybe Will and Ellie, who would've been carded. That didn't stop Elle from stealing my lime.
Enchiladas for me, tacos for the kids, veggie combo plate for Dad. Followed by fried ice cream. Yum!
We retired home to open gifts...
...but what more could I ask for?
