p.s. I did sneak in a wash of Ellie's coveted apple dress. It's all she'll wear in through here!

Will's Princi-Pal
Will's principal and teacher have a tradition of visiting a kindergarten family or two each year for story time. We hosted half of Will's class Thursday night for Princi-Pal (get it?) Linda Welch's reading of All You Need for a Snowman.
Prior to the story, Miss Welch asked the kids about their favorite activities in the snow. Will shared that he loves to work on his MX-81 igloo. Classmates included, clockwise from left: Kit, Eli, Abby, Melena, Sammi, Will, Eliot, Taylor, Parker, and Adele.
Clayton joined us just in time to begin the story. Ellie snuck in the mix, too. You can tell the kids were captivated, and are fond of their teacher, Julie Plepel.
After the story, the kids decorated their own snowmen. Miss Welch included a snow-suited child -- personalized with their school photos -- along side.
Ellie was kindly included. She's quite the artist, and is so eager to join her brother at Whittier, she often tells us that she's 5, too.
While Elle worked with Daddy's help, Miss Welch helped, from left: Abby, Taylor, Parker, Adele, Eli, Melena and Sammi.
Mrs. Plepel lent Clayton and Will a hand with their snowman arms.
Miss Welch added the final touch: glittering snow. Thankfully, she did her best to contain the glitter... although there are traces of sparkles throughout our house!
Among the highlights for Elle was using a glue stick for the first time. The evening flew by, and we (and the house) survived without incident. Will's classmates also confirmed, for better or worse, that our boy who is half our baby, half our big kid, is completely normal. ;)
p.s. I did sneak in a wash of Ellie's coveted apple dress. It's all she'll wear in through here!
