A special visit from some of DG's finest

The DGFD was kind enough to join our neighborhood soirée—always a treat.
The kids found the truck interesting, inside and out.

The kids weren't the only ones who found the truck interesting...
Lieutenant Matt Daly—a fellow DGN grad—gave Andy the scoop, from their different roles on a call to the equipment they wear. Andy even had the opportunity to suit up in their firefighting gear!
It was a hot day already, and while their gear protects from burns, it's hardly equipped with AC.
As Andy donned a helmet and oxygen mask, Ellie asked nervously, "What you doing to my daddy?"
He sure looks cool, although I don't think "cool" was the first word that came to mind. Did I mention the gear weighs 60 pounds?
