Dressing the Turkey
The first graders at Whittier traditionally celebrate Thanksgiving with a special family event. The kids (50, less anyone out sick) read a rhyme, sang a song, then narrated the ABCs of Thanksgiving. Will and his friend Mike were in charge of M is for Many. Will is seated on the stage, second from right.
After the performance, families were turned loose with paper turkeys and art supplies of our choosing to "dress the turkeys." Our fine feathered friend paid tribute to Abe Lincoln and his 200th birthday.
