Field trip to Field Museum
On days like this:
...you need a plan B. We'd been talking about a Field Museum visit since the week before school began. In August. And we finally made it happen... December 30. The kids officially met Sue the T. Rex, who Will had only seen pre-Ellie and pre-dino enthusiasm.
We also saw the 3-D movie Dinosaurs Alive, which was much more informative than scary, save for one a-little-too-close, colossal dino poop. People study those, you know!
We had time to explore a few other corners of the museum including life on Earth, ancient Egypt and gems. But of course there's much more to see. Next time!
