First day, second grade

Oh, how the tables have turned! I used to dread the end of summer, but now I welcome it: the cooler temps, the changing leaves, the return to school. Happily, Will welcomed it, too.
Both of us reap the benefits of seeing our friends almost every day, and being guided through our week by a little bit of routine. Will's new routine includes lining up before school in the second-grade line, here with buds Christopher and Harry.
You can tell it was pandemonium on the primary side of the building. And I love that Cecilia found something so funny!
After school, Savannah requested Will join her in their traditional first-day photo. The little sibs couldn't resist, either—this is how the demure Ellie, enthusiastic Savannah, understandably confused Shawn, cool Will and superhero Steven celebrate.
