Is there a mathematician in the house?

To know me is to know I don't fancy numbers. I try to avoid them whenever possible. But birthdays typically involve counting, and the powers that be suggest Miss Eleanor is now 4. I'm usually game for a party (or three!), but I'm not sure I believe that on the morning of September 14, Elle awoke a year older. I'm almost certain she was a babe in arms five minutes ago!
Don't even get me started on Will, who this year realized that your sister's gifts can be a score for you, too. ;)
Daddy took the day off to hang out with the birthday girl. After school, we stopped by the ridiculously-gorgeous renovated Washington Park to admire the new fountain and inspect the playground.
Next, it was time for ballet—Daddy was able to sneak a peek at her practice and help give the girlies birthday cookies, which Ellie promptly enjoyed.
After Will and I returned from tae kwondo, Ellie had her choice of culinary treats for dinner. She chose... Chipotle. Give the lady what she wants, right?
She appeared to like it, as did Flower the wolf. Jump, jump!
Will somehow managed to choke down his beloved tacos. Way to take one for the team (ha!).
Finally, it was off to Oberweis for the traditional birthday treat. Flower held Ellie's balloon while she nibbled her strawberry sundae.
She snuck sips of Daddy's shake, too. Believe it or not, that shake is a regular size... there's also a large!
Will took in the perks of being the big brother—in the form of a chocolate shake. Another sweet birthday down the hatch!
