Field trip with zombies
The district *thankfully* canceled the second graders' field trip last week in the midst of thunderstorms and 50 mph winds. It was rescheduled for the yesterday—the day after Halloween—and I was happy to chaperone if my friend and room mom could take Ellie for a marathon play date. Especially since Will is still excited by my presence (he even sat with me on the bus). ;)
My camera battery went dead after this initial photo at Fullersburg Woods in Oak Brook—it was apparently pooped after the previous day's festivities. And it wasn't the only one: this bunch of 7- and 8-year-old trick-or-treaters was pooped, too! And so was I by day's end.
