LEGO KidsFest

Be still his heart... apparently Will isn't the only kid in the LEGO universe. I spied a billboard for LEGO KidsFest ("That billboard had no effect on me at all..."), and although it was scheduled for the already-busy Halloween weekend, Will and Andy snuck (sneaked?) away to check it out. Lions and tigers and bears, not so much; more like Indy and Rex and Republic Attack Cruiser, oh my!
I'm not sure who among us liked the LEGO Harry Potter world better, Will or Andy (and me). If you look closely at these photos of Will, you'll see he was sporting Harry Potter's scar to go along with his Halloween costume. We put it on him Friday for school, and he kept it on for three days. ;)
Among the activities for LEGO maniacs was creating part of a mosaic. Will followed the color pattern on a flat piece provided him.
He then took his piece and, according to the number on the back (132), placed it in a larger LEGO mosaic picture.
How cool is that? There was also an awesome Chicago skyline he helped create (even if he isn't looking at the camera...).
Among his favorite activities were playing the new LEGO Universe computer game (look at my little computer geek!),
...creating and racing his own LEGO speeder (and beating Dad's, I might add),
...and contributing a creation to the LEGO map of the US. Will made a high-dive, and had it added to Florida, by Grandma and Grandpa's house (I tell ya, looking at the camera—again! and again!—is hard work!).
Two more favorite LEGO creations were the Hogwarts crew and his favorite Bionicle, Tahu.
Those crazy LEGO master builders created some goofy photo props, like a roaring lion and (non-roaring, I assume) sarcophagus.
All in all, pretty fabulous day for my LEGO-lovin' boys!
