A quick trip to the sledding hill

When the Craftons visited during MLK weekend, we had to make the most of our few inches of snow for sledding. We also had to make the most of our gaggle of overtired kids—especially the girls, who took advantage of their sleepover to chat into the night.

I ventured down the hill to ride with Ellie.
Will and Isaiah were speed demons, as long as Will kept his big ol' boots off the ground!
Odd as it was, when the kids were cold and tired, they took to climbing a retaining wall. How can we complain with cheap thrills?
The moms have a history of playing in the snow: back in 1995, Annie and I worked through a heavy snowfall in Bloomington to dig out our fellow housemate Ali's car. With our hands and a snow brush. With tuckered-out kids, it was our turn to sled!
As always, we are counting the days until we see the Craftons again—we'll have plenty of snow for sledding!
