Time to make the... communion?
Old St. Pat's hosted a lovely afternoon retreat as the kids prepared to make their First Communion. Among the activities: making the same type of bread that would be broken at their First Communion Mass. Will helped his religious ed teacher, Carla, do some baking.
The kids also personalized the covers of their Mass programs, practiced music and met with Fr. Paul to learn about the Eucharist. It was a great opportunity to ramp up the excitement leading up to Will's special day.
