Ground Zero

I couldn't anticipate the challenge of explaining the events of September 11 to my children, especially Will, who is old enough to ask questions, but still too young to understand. Really, who among us really understands?

Amid the terror and sadness of the terrorist attacks stood a historic little chapel that became the base for rescue and recovery. It now stands amid hope and strength and revival as the people of New York rebuild the World Trade Center.
Here we met the author of The Little Chapel That Stood, a children's book that shares that hope and strength. After visiting Ground Zero, it's become one of Will's favorites.
