"There are two lasting bequests we can give our children. One is roots. The other is wings."

NYC Fire Museum
Ellie and Will have a flair for spotting -- and mimicking -- fire trucks. Most notably their sirens. Will also has been a fire fighter the past two Halloweens. Last but not least, one of our favorite friends, Mr. (Clint) Crafton, is a real fire fighter. So we found it appropriate to pay a visit to the NYC Fire Museum, a little hole in the wall full of fire fighting history.
Look: an antique Mack truck!
Will recognizes a bunch of the old timey gear from his Richard Scarry book, What Do People Do All Day? It's amazing fire fighters were able to accomplish anything with that stuff!
Chicago's Cows on Parade preceded the September 11 attacks, but this sure looks like a cow cousin.
