Two years ago today...

...Miss Eleanor surprised the heck out of us. For whatever reason, Will was the only one convinced "Pinky" would be a girl!

She preferred nursing to sleeping from the get-go. Some things haven't changed.

Her irresistible giggles, big brown eyes and smooches galore quickly endeared us to her -- and steel us from selling her on eBay, even through her bull-headed, proof-she's-a-2-year-old-girl tantrums.

After celebrating with family and friends, the day is finally here. Our baby is 2!
One of Ellie's favorite bedtime stories is Good Night, New York ("Statue!"). Will, who continued his gift unwrapping tutorial, showed Elle her new book, Good Night, Chicago.
A little unclear on the concept of a hair bow holder. ;)
Dad and Will made quick work of assembling Ellie's new step stool, to match her brother's, more or less.
Cardinals, butterflies and two happy kids. Who can now reach the bathroom sink... and who knows what else!
