Last hurrah

There's a good chance this past Monday was the last balmy day of the season. Certainly the balance of this week hasn't proven otherwise. The kids had the day off -- Columbus Day, if you're a conscientious objector or something -- and we were determined to spend the day outside.

We headed to the Morton Arboretum... along with the rest of the Chicagoland area!

Ellie continues on her quest for independence, climbing a ladder to the top of a wooden tree house. She exudes confidence, doesn't she?
After a costume change, Will and Jack pose like little gentlemen. It was a crazy day, but one spent in good company.
