Tricks and treats

As previously reported, we went with a kind of NYC theme this year, feeding Ellie's Statue of Liberty fascination and wearing Will's fire fighter costume for the third (!) year in a row.
Will pays homage to a huge Homer in our neighbors' yard.
The kids hit the trick or treating trail with Omi.
The kids stopped home to see Omi and Opa off -- they head to North Carolina today -- to help hand out candy to nearly 200 kids, and to wait to join the neighborhood posse. Luca paid us a visit, looking like the cutest giraffe since Will's Georgies (his stuffed animal "buddies").
Darkness begins to fall, so we fire up the jack o' lanterns. Will's is a silly face, Ellie's at least somewhat resembled the Statue of Liberty. (Yes, that's past tense: the mold won.)
Here comes a few of the local crew: Will, Harris as a Ben 10 guy (I'm so ignorant), Steven as Batman (Shawn was Robin), the incredible Savannah as Violet Incredible and Elle.
Not haunted, but kinda spooky on a gorgeous evening...
And a harbinger of Halloweens to come: the kids pose on the Toths' new porch.
