Hey, batter, batter!
Will's team, the Whittier Nationals, played their first game this past Saturday.
They're part of DG Youth Baseball's instructional league, which means the kids rotate positions, coaches pitch, kids get multiple tries each at bat, and there's no keeping score. So no need to call your bookie.
Will will be in the instructional league for three years because of his late-summer birthday. And, quite honestly, a little extra instruction won't hurt!
Will at shortstop. I think. Doesn't he look serious? Focused? Yeah, coincidence. ;)
The kids batted in numerical order, which is also shortest to tallest. Will is number 6.
Will at bat. He actually had a hit his third at bat!
Will on second base. I think.
Finally, the Nationals and the Twins (of St. Joe's) congratulate each other for a game well-played.
(Go Nationals!)

The no scoring thing really threw me when I started having to go to T'ball games with the little girls I babysat. Now, they have moved up to 5 innings, with no more than three outs or 5 runs in per inning.. seriously just as strange. But good for Will, he looks adorable!!
