Birthday ice cream

Once upon a time, we celebrated Will's first birthday with a trip to Oberweis (the best ice cream around). Partially because his official birthday cake would come two days later, partially because we're always looking for an excuse for ice cream!
That was then...
This is now:

Will's sundae of choice was a cookie dough ice cream explosion of sorts in a sprinkle-bedecked waffle bowl. Smart boy!
Ellie was gracious enough to help celebrate with a vanilla shake of her own. Way to take one for the team, Elle.
I can't even begin to explain this one. Maybe he was staving off evil Makuta Bionicles? Or protecting his sundae from his little sister? He's equal parts delicious and ridiculous (some things never change, and I hope they never do!).

p.s. Forgot to mention Jim Oberweis, owner of Oberweis Dairy and aspiring politician, was on hand to wish Will a happy birthday. Can't speak for his politics, but his ice cream is fantastic!
