City Museum, from the outside

Remember playgrounds before they were made of Tupperware? City Museum's outdoor MonstroCity is like old playground heaven, with lots of metal bars to climb, crazy slides (that would have been hot had St. Louis been true to form) and dizzying heights. Apparently no personal injury lawyers allowed. ;)

Will tries out the levers in a real old crane cab (it was a little freaky-looking, so I helped).
After that, it was time to climb the boom! My fear of heights had to take a backseat for this adventure.

Will climbs through one of the huge wire tunnels suspended across the play area.
The rest of us follow our leader. Did I mention my fear of heights had to take a backseat? I was so proud of me. Oh, and the kids, who needed a little prodding but tried everything.
This slide may look like no big deal, but it was like jumping off the top of a wall—a completely vertical slide with a little curve at the bottom. Just do it!
We did! What an adventure!
