Kiddieland reprise

The weekend before the first full day of school, we returned to Kiddieland with the mission: squeeze in as much as we possibly could, and make memories to live on long after the park is (sob) closed. Will's first request: the Kiddieland Limited! All aboard!
We rode the diesel, but there was a live steamer on the line, too!
Real men ride flying elephants with big, pink ears. :)
Will isn't the most adventurous kid on the block. But he pushed through his comfort zone, riding the Little Dipper roller coaster (with some not-so-little dips!).
After a snack, for better or for worse (!), the fam boarded the Tilt-a-Whirl. As we waited in line, we noticed some cars swung gently back and forth while others spun wildly. Guess which one we (accidentally) chose?
The spinning continued on the Scrambler, one of Andy and my favorites from our youth.
Yes, this photo was taken *before* it started moving. ;) The Scrambler was one of Ellie's opportunities to show off her inner daredevil. While Mommy and Will waited in line for the Ferris wheel, Daddy and Elle rode the Galleon. Again.
Here's a close-up. That's one jubilant look on Ellie's face!
The Ferris wheel is more Will's speed.
And hey, it does get up there!
We saved one of the kids' favorites—the Skyfighter—for last.
And with that, our blur of a day was done...
Mission completed. So long, Kiddieland!
