Spooky gingerbread

As if anticipating a cold and rainy day off from school (thank you, Mr. Columbus), Grandma sent a gingerbread haunted house kit. And, as if anticipating how much fun it would be to build, Ellie decided to skip her nap so we could get started this afternoon.
I helped assemble the foundation and roof, then left (for a run)... like a real contractor! ;) In case I didn't capture it well, the kids are saying, "Booooo!"
Dad, who couldn't have anticipated becoming creative director, oversaw the decorating. Ellie took over eating the decorations.
Both kids at work. Thanks to Will's shirt, the house almost looks like it's aflame... but fear not.
True to form, Will is all business and Ellie... is eating the decorations.
Finally, the finishing touches...
And the masterpiece is complete! Thanks for the treat, Grandma!

Just so Will's reputation isn't damaged, it should be noted that he sampled the decorations just as much as Ellie, if not more so.
