Camp Tecumseh

Will (Bald Eagle) and Andy (Red Bird) recently joined the Wea tribe through Indian Guides—along with several friends from Whittier—just in time for the year's first camp out. You can't tell, but Will is in the yellow vest in front of the boy with the blue cap. You also can't tell, but I assure you, his Indian head patch is sewn on better than anyone else's. ;)
I should mention that "camp out" is used loosely, as in cabins with heat, plumbing, air mattresses and movies. Still, Camp Tecumseh included a day's worth of new activities that Will ate up:

A ropes/obstacle course (very impressive for our boy with motor planning issues!).

A climbing wall, which Will left to his friend Jack, a.k.a. Climbing Bear (aptly named!). Jack was one of three kids to reach the top that day!

The biggest Lincoln Logs ever.
A large pond (or was it a small lake?) equipped with canoes.
And archery/riflery practice, the latter of which didn't exactly thrill Mom, who just isn't into guns but was outnumbered—it was Will's favorite part.
Both Will and Dad were tired the next day, especially since they left early to make it to religious ed at Old St. Pat's. Ah, the busy life of a 7-year-old! Bald Eagle can't wait until his next camp out with Red Bird (and vice versa, I'm sure).
