The snowpocalypse cometh

We fall victim to the weather tease a lot, predictions of several inches of snow that only materialize as two. As my aunt Leslie says, meteorologists are in marketing, not production. Still, we'd been waiting none-too patiently for a snowstorm of major proportions.

The blizzard warning began at 3 p.m. Tuesday, but the snow started falling about 2:15. By evening, we were hunkered down inside as the winds whipped outside. At more than 60 mph, "whipped" may be an understatement.
All was warm and quiet inside, with the exception of the whistling wind and occasional thunder. And thankfully, our power flickered but didn't go out. When we went to sleep, we could still see patches of our front walk beneath swirling snow. The neighborhood looked like another planet, white and barren. So, would we wake up to a colossal snowfall?
