Adventures in babysitting
We babysat our wee friend Shawn yesterday so his mom and dad could work on moving out of their soon-to-be-teardown (we're familiar with those joys and pains!).
We managed to pull together a few remaining baby toys, the kids' play mat among them. Although she didn't seem to remember it well, Ellie did her best to acquaint Shawn (who she affectionately calls "Na") with all of the play mat's intriguing options.
While Will busily secured the play mat with his truck crane, Shawn surprised us all and rolled over -- a new trick!
Will's ever-vigilant crew of trucks (KJ the truck crane, Back the backhoe, Mack the flatbed truck, Comblyn the combine and Big Ex the excavator) ensured Will was able to carry out his brainwashing mission: you will love diggers, you will love diggers, you will love diggers. ;)
Despite a little excess attention, Shawn was a content little guy. After almost 4 months with his big sister Savannah and lookalike big brother Steven, he's an old pro at humoring the big kids!
