Ice, ice, baby!

Welcome to Downers Grove: We have trains! We have revolving doors! We have... ice sculptures?!
Yes, we rolled out the red carpet for the Craftons. Saturday we journeyed downtown DG for the Ice Festival. It was our first time, too—the last two years, it had been too warm (relatively speaking) and rainy. But this year was sunny and cold. Perfect, if you're into ice!

The boys show off their moves in front of one of the snowboarders on the U.S. Olympic team.
Ellie was drawn to this sculpture. Future beaus, note she likes diamonds.
When we had seen our fill and were beginning to feel like ice sculptures ourselves, we headed to Two Toots for lunch.
For those of you who have been deprived of the Two Toots experience, it's a diner—across from the train station, no less—where your food is delivered via model train. Told you we pulled out the red carpet!
